Campus Martius Museum is built on the original site of the Ohio Company stockade. Two of the oldest buildings in Ohio are here: Rufus Putnam’s home (enclosed inside the museum) and the Ohio Company Land Office, where deeds were recorded. The museum’s exhibits present Marietta’s pivotal role in the founding (1788) and creation (1787) of the Northwest Territory.
